Pre Kindergarten

Ages 4-5

All incoming students must be 4 years old by September 1st.

PreK kids grow so much this year academically and socially, they joyfully begin to recognize their successes and become more independent. We encourage students as they explore their academic learning potential, we see their problem solving skills grow, and their imagination blooms. All while learning how to become a friend to others and advocating for themselves. It’s a year full of ah-ha moments!

PreK

The program follows the TEKS Guidelines, required by the state of Texas for PreK. Our students participate in a variety of weekly activities to improve their confidence, academic and social skills. Those activities included are phonics, reading, math, STEAM, problem solving, fine motor activities, Learning Without Tears, teacher guided small groups and Independent learning centers, Chapel, Bible A-Z, Music & Movement and we can’t forget Recess!

The Learning Without Tears program is endorsed by the Texas Education Agency and used in the local ISD’s and ensures children will be ready for their academic journey.

Combining the best of Academic and Play Based Programs

Many of the activities the students participate in they think is just play, but we know that combining the best parts of Academic and Play Based Learning increases a child’s success in learning.

Children are exploring, taking risks, engaging their imagination, and solving problems. Student activities include art projects, creative play, books, songs, Learning Without Tears, Science experiments, and interaction with teachers and other children.

They are learning valuable skills that support social, physical and cognitive development. Preparing them for developmentally appropriate activities and giving them the confidence to try new things and to learn more!

Math

Early math begins with sorting and patterning. Daily small groups sit with the teacher (2-4 students), so your child is guided at their level to grow. Your student is always excited as we reinforce new concepts with unexpected new fun activities.

Literacy

Literacy begins with Learning Without Tears and Mat Man. Students learn the strokes to build letters and numbers in so many fun ways. The letter of the week is drawn with every medium from watercolors, salt to shaving cream!

The Learning Without Tears program is endorsed by the Texas Education Agency and used in the local ISD’s and ensures children will be ready for their academic journey.

Motor Skills

Fine motor play leads to writing skills prepping them for Kindergarten. It is exciting to see how early readers start to blossom and critical thinking skills improve.

Large Motor play helps children learn how to control, coordinate body movements and help improve hand/eye coordination.

Independence

Independence is encouraged, you can capitalize on that at home as they take care of themselves, their friends and their school. Kidz World teaches them to stand up for themselves, righteously and respectfully.

The Bible A-Z and Chapel

PreK and TK students build their own A-Z Bible Story book filled with God’s Word. It’s wonderful to see the children as they realize that God has plans for them and trust that they can always talk to Him. Most students funnel into a traditional school so their spiritual education here is a true priority. Kidz World wants your graduate to know Jesus, and understand God made them and their families.

Safety

Our entrance has an electronic access system that only staff can access. Kidz World Preschool safety protocols can be discussed during tours.

Fire, Bad Weather and Safety drills are practiced on a regular basis with all enrolled students.
