FAQ

  • Kidz World Preschool guidelines are focused on principles designed to cover various preventative, protective and corrective measures that address COVID-19 and other health measures. Children and staff following proper hygienic practices can keep them healthy outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

    Enhanced Hygiene - Soap and water offer the simplest solution to combat infection. All children must wash their hands upon entering their room at the start of each day and all recommended times thereafter in addition to following standard Kidz World handwashing procedures.

    Healthy Environment - A clean facility keeps families safe. Kidz World Preschool adheres to advanced cleaning procedures; classrooms, toys and manipulatives are disinfected daily.

    Symptom Monitoring – Our staff keeps a watchful eye on our students. If your child is not feeling well or acting out of character, we will reach out to parents. Kidz World Preschool isolates symptomatic children from others immediately upon observation and contact parents for pickup from Kidz World Preschool.

  • We’ll call you or a designated adult from your Emergency Information Form so that your child can be picked up as soon as possible from the Kidz World Preschool. While waiting to be picked up, your child will rest quietly, away from other children.

  • Due to the high number of children with peanut allergies, we go on a class-by-class assessment for peanut butter. Loose nuts are not allowed in student snacks or lunches.

    If your child has a specific allergy, or food allergies please list them on our diagnosed dietary restriction letter so that we can make appropriate food substitutions and safety precautions.

  • Only individuals authorized by you are allowed to pick up your child from Kidz World Preschool. If an authorized emergency contact arrives to pick up a child that we have not met or been introduced to by our parents, a photo ID will be required to release the child.

    All employees are required to have undergone background checks prior to employment. Our entrance has an electronic access system that only staff can access. Kidz World Preschool has an emergency alert system that is monitored and communicates with FPD.

  • Yes, weather permitting, we take children outside daily. Children should be dressed appropriately for playing on our playground. A jacket or coat should be sent to school as needed. Kidz World Preschool requires children to only wear closed toed shoes to play outside.

  • Your child will participate in play-based learning experiences while receiving positive, nurturing guidance from the teachers. We have a play-based learning environment where your child can play and explore while developing social/emotional, communication, cognitive and motor skills.

  • Yes, all students bring a healthy snack, lunch and water bottle daily.

  • Kidz World Preschool does not use physical or verbal punishment under any circumstances. We use positive guidance and re-direction to acknowledge children’s feelings and emotions and provide them with social scripts, problem-solving techniques, self-calming activities and choices and activities geared toward their interests.

  • All Kidz World Preschool teachers must meet or exceed the state requirements for childcare providers and are required to receive ongoing professional training annually. We also require background checks through local, county, state and federal agencies prior to employment.

  • Teachers partner with parents in the Littles, aged 2-3 years to make Potty Training successful. All other grades DO require students to be potty trained and independent in the bathroom.
